8.11.13 bike fixed and on our way south again. Tbh it was a dull day, flat, featureless road, no views, grey and cloudy. We enjoyed cycling over the Arahura River - a narrow single lane bridge shared by both directions of state highway traffic .... and the train! Stopped in Hokitika at the jade factory and did the tree top walkway at Lake Mahinapua. Considering the book tells us this stretch of road is prone to merciless winds we'll graciously accept a dull day - the god of wind must have been napping. Now in Ross.
